Before paisley had its English name, the boteh was a curved Persian drop—a seed mid-sprout—carried through Kashmir shawls and later renamed by a Scottish mill town. Here, that traveling shape wraps a compact fanny pack, keeping the old motif close to the body and ready to move.

The Craft

The polyester surface takes the paisley field in all-over sublimation, so the curled boteh reads as motion rather than a single placed graphic. The fanny-pack form shifts the story from display to hands-free carry for small essentials.
